Mixing/Split
This is mainly for mixing pieces from parcels, or to split a parcel into as many parcels as there are stones; to be stand alone.
You can find all the mixed documents under the stock menu, called “mix/split list”.
Choose the stone you want to start with and mix it with one or multiple stones, this could be to an existing parcel.
The steps are as follows:
Choose the stone you would like to “mix”
Press the button located at the bottom of the window called “Mix/Split”
After you press on the button a new window will open.
Choose “Mix” from the radio buttons
On the template choose the “Mix Template”
You need to check off the box that says, “Keep Empty Values”
Press continue
Once you press continue a new window will open, then you can choose which parcels you want to mix.
The first (upper) section of the window will be the source of the mix (where you are taking the stones from). The second (lower) section of the window is where you will write where you want to put the parcels.
For example if you took a parcel called A22, and you would like to put it in A21, then A22 information will be in the first section and A21 information will be in the second section.
In the second section, after you choose the parcel name you are moving the parcel into, you need to tell the system what the content will be that will move into this parcel. If there are 5 Carats from A22, and you want to move 2 Carats. In the weight column you write the amount you want to move.
The only change is giving a new name to the parcel (one that does not exist in the system).
In both sections it will be the same values, as in the weight you are moving. If you take 6 carats from the first parcel, it needs to be 6 moved to the next parcel.
If you want to mix 4 stones or 5 stones into one parcel, in the first step you need to choose all the stones you need, instead of one stone.
Similar explanation as above, the difference would be that on the first window you need to choose “split” on the radio buttons instead of “mix”.
The template is still “mix”.
The second (lower) section on the next window is the parcel you are looking to create.
You can write new names or write out an existing parcel you want to move it to.
Most importantly in both split and mix, is that there won’t be any differences after the action is taken. There is a “differences” row at the bottom of the screen, it includes: weight, quantity, etc…The differences should be zero at the end of the operation. If you try to confirm the mix when there is a difference, it won’t let you.
We made a special button for this, it’s called “Copy Mix Difference”, this button will copy the mix difference to the single parcel or to the last parcel. You need to mark that it is the last parcel in order for things to be copied there.
After this press the “Confirm” button located in the top corner of the window.
