Import Data

How to Import Data

Step 1: Open DXPro and press “File”, scroll down to “Import”, that will open the Import Manager.



Step 2: Choose the “File name” of the file you would like to import. You can press the three dots to browse for the file you need.



Step 3: Select the destination of the data you’d like to import. (It will be automatic from the schema)

Schema: To know which columns the correct data will be imported to. The name of the schema helps to identify which schema works well with which type or source of file.

Key: When importing data you must specify which column holds the unique identity of each line, usually it’s directed to the “Parcel Name” or “Parcel ID” column.


Step 4: When you have added all of the relevant and necessary details you can then press the blue button “Import Data”.


Import from Fantasy:

Press “File” scroll down to “Import From Fantasy” and choose the file you would like to import data from. 



Import Idex:

In the header press “Stock” scroll down to “Import Idex”. 

Select the document you would like to import and press “Load”. 


If There is a Problem Importing Data


Step 1: 

There are several potential problems that may arise when trying to import your data. The issue may be related to compatibility, so you can check the following:


1. It may be that the source fields in the schema don't match the columns in the Excel file.


2. If you upload certified stones they should load the fields in a specific order: 1. Parcel Name 2. Weight 3. Lab Name 4. Certificate Number.


3. You must use the Parcel Name column as a key column.


Please note that when you upload certified stones, if the stones don’t have certificates on the lab’s website it won’t upload the stone.
